Join DSA in supporting the Refugee Exodus! #MigrantCaravan #CaravanaMigrante

The Democratic Socialists of America and the national Immigrants' Rights Working Group are supporting the migrant caravan; those traveling in the caravan with demands for asylum in the US, and the groups providing material, legal, and organizational support. We need you, as individual members and as chapters, to help us with these efforts!
DSA has joined border organizations in the International Call to Action for the Refugee Caravan and Central American Exodus. Chapters across the country will be participating in actions on November 25th in solidarity with the caravan!

Read the statement here & reach out to us if you plan to organize or participate in a local action.
So, what can you do?

Provide direct support for the migrant exodus in Tijuana
We need volunteers to join organizations in Tijuana to provide support for the migrants applying for asylum at the San Ysidro port of entry - we’ll need people to help with asylum interview preparation, accompaniment, medical, legal, security, food preparation, and more.

This is ideal if you are available for 4 days or more in the next few months. It’s especially great if you speak Spanish, are an experienced organizer, have legal, security, and/or medic training, but not required.

Join the caravans currently traveling across Mexico
We are forming teams of DSA organizers to provide organizational support and international observation for the migrant caravans that are still making their way through Mexico.
This is a good option if you are available immediately for at least 1 week. It’s an especially good option if you speak Spanish, have legal and/or medic training, or are an experienced organizer.

Financially support the migrant caravan and DSA volunteers
If you aren’t able to go to Tijuana or further south, you can still support the migrant caravan
Contribute to Pueblo Sin FronterasAl Otro Lado and Otay Mesa Detention Resistance.
You can also directly support DSA comrades volunteering with the caravan by donating
  • Frequent Flyer miles
  • Funds to cover material and logistical needs of the caravan DSA volunteers will assist with once on the ground (we can let you know what are the specific needs your funds are supporting)
  • Funds to support the costs of sending DSA members there (we can let you know which DSA members your funds are supporting).
To donate miles, email and to donate funds, use Cash App.
If you want to volunteer for any of these roles, please fill out this form at with your capabilities, availability, and contact information. If you have questions or anything else, email
