Orchard Suite, University
Union
3:00pm-4:00pm
Dr. Duane Campbell,
Sacramento State Professor Emeritus of Bilingual/Multicultural Education, will
address how activism, action, and reflection are essential to efforts to
protect, defend and extend our democracy. The courts alone will not protect our
democracy, especially in light of the Supreme Court rulings on Citizens United
and the Voting Rights Act. Thus, it falls to each generation to protect
democracy – are you going to be part of the problem or part of the
solution?
Reception to follow after the talk.
